"I Am A Film Director"

Hopefully, we are in store for some solid films from a handful of the world's most profound directors. David Cronenberg,Woody Allen and Jim Jarmusch all have features at Cannes. Broken Flowers marks Jarmusch's second collaboration with Bill "Mutha Fuckin'" Murray. To me, Jim Jarmusch is the last man standing in film today. He's made one of my favorite films and probably the most creative take on the western genre, Dead Man. He still remains an American original who is truly independent in style and vital in this time of bloated million dollar budgets and mediocre, at best, moviemaking.
