A Nice Place To Visit But...

So I'm officially done with the Russian/American produced reality show Hunger. 11 days total with a day off in between. Overall, I have to say it was pretty laid back. I've worked on a number of different productions in the past and most of them try to get every ounce of life out of you if they are paying your day rate, myself included. Pre-production is cheap, production is not. Anyone who is worth their salt in this business will tell you, do it all in pre-production and the rest, in theory, will be cake. Well, as much as it can be. Work out every scenerio and then work out some more. Have a back up plan for the back up plan. With a combination of equipment being held at the border and maybe 3-5 runs to Home Depot for supplies daily it seems that time and man power could have been utilized better. Production is war. It's you against the clock which translates to the producers trying to make the budget bend and twist if need be.

In the end it was something a little different for me. I'm hoping I will be able to drop by when the show is up and running which should be within a day or two then will be going for the next 5 months at Silvercup. Who knows, it might lead to more work but for now I'm back in my nice editing room. Nice editing room.

Oh yeah, to top off my Sopranos sitings for the week I passed Edie Falco in the hall yesterday.
